London has badly suffered these past four days. My poor beloved London. The city I love even more than my own hometown. Although the news channels have been showing us the worst possible scenes ever, these are the ones that touched me. In particular the first one -- so quintessentially British (Things are going badly? Have a cuppa, dear!). The warmth and strength of the Brits who, despite of all hell breaking loose, they can still muster the courage to go out there and take care of those who take take care of us. In this case the Police.
Someone told me I should maybe leave London if things are not so good after all. But you know what? After having seen these scenes, I LOVE London even more. And I'm sure many will feel exactly the same. Things like this make me more hopeful for the future of the country than the words from David Cameron, Boris Johnson and the likes. So next time someone tells you Londoners are cold, don't believe them. They're warmer than you could possibly ever imagine.
